“i am the ghost of ghosts
everywhere and nowhere”
“i am a world wrapped in worlds folded in suns and moons”
These two lines really made an impression in me I love what they evoke idk. This book was an improvement from milk and honey in my opinion. There are parts where it's repetitive overusing lines and ideas from milk and honey but I liked the immigration themed poems and the ode to immigrant parents in them. Rupi Kaur's poems feel like someone who loves hearing themself talk but at the same time some of her poems drip occasional wisdom and hit close in their simple deepness. They're not as bad as critics say they are. Sometimes you're the intended target audience of the poem and most times you're not but it's up to you to decide when it's that.
