The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath

dark reflective sad medium-paced
  • Plot- or character-driven? Character
  • Strong character development? Yes
  • Flaws of characters a main focus? No
struggling to rate it but i did enjoy it, i can definitely see why sylvia plath is considered a classic. the beautiful prose makes me want to check out her poetry.
the
shock therapy
parts were horrifying though! honestly the whole
hospital stay
section made me a little upset. i'm very glad i live in 21st century ngl.

ps. ted hughes if afterlife exists i will fucking get you
