Raising Ryland: Our Story of Parenting a Transgender Child with No Strings Attached by

3.0

Picking up this book I found that this is a good type of family through reading and going to the profession with credentials to get help for the child.  That the parents of the little Ryland first dealt with the fact that Ryland is deaf and got scholar implants (would love to see how that affected hos way in both the deal community and LGBT as well.) and then came the nest hard task is he is transgender.

One thing I found hard was O felt like we just saw the adult perspective of the book.  Not Ryland's to a degree, I get that this whole book is about Ryland but knowing how he takes his masculinity.  How he wants to see his heroes and foes.  I guess some of this has been displayed but I just wanted a tad bit more how Ryland dealt with the adults being uncomfortable.

onto what I would really like that transition from not being onboard to embracing.  First with Mom and then with Dad who was will give up his career (well one reason)  And then there were the inspiration moments such as speeches and I just got an uplifting warmth while reading this book.
