Theirs Ever After by Katee Robert

4.0

Well, I was never convinced that a country on God's green Earth would be ok with a triad as their royal family but it didn't keep me from enjoying this book and series!

I loved the scenes with Meg and Galen the most. Their relationship interested me and I would've liked to see more of them connecting.

The suspense plot is what made up the movement of the story but it wasn't strong enough. It would get brought out in one short scene here and there and then the final set piece was wrapped up a little too neatly. There were too many threads in this story and it therefore suffered a little.

I would've liked more depth and detail of Theo/Galen/Meg together as a throuple. What do they talk about a dinner? Do they snuggle up on the couch and watch movies? Like...I don't know any throuples and so this world is entirely foreign to me and I needed more explanation!!! :) What did they tell Theo's 16 year old sister??? "Hey, I'm back from exile and I'm now openly out with my bodyguard AND here's a random American chick that we're also all dating." ?????????

I DID appreciate that Meg was finally able to stop living in survival mode like she has her whole life and could start to think about what she actually wanted. At no point did I ever feel she was being steamrolled or pressured into ANYTHING, but she did feel very passive. Not seeking anything out and mostly just allowing things to happen. Which isn't bad! Sometimes you don't know what you want but you're open to trying what someone else suggests! It was important that she did start to be included outside of their intimate connection and that happened.

Overall, I still had MANY logistical questions at the end of this book/series but I highly, highly enjoyed it none the less.
