Another messed-up Montague, another dangerous relic that sends them on an intercontinental adventure intercepted with pirates and significant self-growth. Felicity was one of my favourite characters in the last book, but in this one she became my absolute favourite. Period. I loved her sheer determination, resilience, and confidence. This book was empowering as much as it was inspiring. It raised my expectations for female characters, female friendship, and overall character development by a stratosphere. 5 stars fall short.
