McEwan excels in this book. She creates an intense, engaging world filled with tension, gripping plot lines and characters I was screaming through the book at.
The pacing was done expertly and I was squealing at many a point. Like holy shit, this was great (and the brief moments of spice were worth the wait🥵)
So so so excited for book 2!!
