When I first read this short story collection I realized it was a part of a bigger collection, that being "Interzone", and since I was already halfway done with Interzone because of this one I decided to check out the other half of it. My conclusion with that experience was that I'm not ready in any way to read Burroughs right now, the stories in this here collection were actually pretty easy to pick up and understand but "Interzone" felt like sludge. This man is a fucking weirdo.
