The Alpha Escort Agency by Hannah Haze is a contemporary romance. Alice is in marketing, and Rory is an escort who helps omegas get through their heats in a professional and satisfying way. Bit of a Pretty Woman vibe.

However, this book fell into that category of erotica that I struggle with - where the plot is basically a thin string running between in depth graphic sex scenes. Don't get me wrong, I love my smut (just look at my previous reviews) - but I don't find the smut nearly as good if we don't have a build up, and proper character and relationship development. In this, all the character development and plot obstacles were flimsy and basically just excuses to lengthen the book. I hate those kinds of stupid misunderstandings due to lack of communication, it's such weak storytelling. So then the smut moved from sexy to cringe for me. Not the one for me at all.
