Last Train from Perdition: I Travel by Night, Book Two
by Robert R. McCammon
A solid, quick, enjoyable read. This is better than the first story, which was also enjoyable, but is held back a little by being a novella rather than a proper full-length novel. I’d read one if it ever comes along, but because there just isn’t a lot of meat on the bones, I’ll probably largely forget this if he never writes a follow-up. Also, the conclusion to this feels a little abrupt and out of nowhere, but it sets up the (maybe never materializing) sequel well.
