The Proposal by Jasmine Guillory

These characters, their dynamics and romance felt so lived in. It felt like how we just kinda exist in real life that when you ate trying to drive two characters into a romantic relationship it is so often hard to pull off. So this was a nice natural change up. Ican absolutely see saving someone from an awkward public situation and then go out for drinks, talk more and have a thank you dinner as a way to test out attraction.
So the more gradual growth was lovely, it wasn't like there were any big reveals or anything, instead everytime they talked or even other characters they always mentioned Jessie or Angela or someone, it wasn't just a once and done. Or a continual in mind only to have a big dramatic scene instead we saw the slow growth over two months which was also a nice time. And the friends weren't just there to help talk about the drama, and Nik and Carlos' conversations were more than just metaphor, they got to talk and exist and hang out and be themselves without everything being physical which was lovely.

Even the way both of them realized they loved the other as more then just friends worked really well and naturally. I often come to realizations laying in bed, thinking. And I liked in the end they are just chatting about life and being proud of the other.

And I haven't read the Wedding Date but she did a good job of incorporating Drew in a way that wasn't just cutesy scenes, and hey, dude you called me out on my crap last year..

Overall, really enjoyed this!
