Wow, what an interesting take on magic, queer love and acceptance, and fate. Lando is an interesting main character. Their trials and the prejudice they face by their community both as a shifter and as a nonbinary person are relatable. The unfortunate transphobia as well as the treatment they face as “other” and not being a witch are things that any person who doesn’t fit in the mold can understand. Bastian is an interesting addition with his layers and the trauma he carries. I did have the ending figured out about half way through but was interested enough in how they would figure it out to keep going.
