book 2 was better! still a lot of TW that i will add to the list but i definitely found it more enjoyable to read. certain aspects of the plot are extremely predictable while other cliches kinda make my teeth grind but once again, Raven Kennedy does a stellar job at making the reader continue to try and figure the mysteries out that are so delicately placed throughout the series. a part of me is excited to keep reading but tbh when i finished and got to the plot twist at the end it almostttt made me not want to start the third book. i’m excited to see Auren’s character development and i will also absolutely applaud the author for her stunning ability to show the inner dialogue of someone in the midst of a Stockholm Syndrome situation. she makes characters so deeply unlikeable you want to know what happens to them & hope for the worst for them but then the characters that are likeable are borderline too likeable? on to book 3! let’s see how long i stick with this series
