What Was Lost by Catherine O'Flynn

5.0

This book is simultaneously a mystery, a portrait of how the coincidences of the world can make or break a life, how retail really is the most mind-numbing and soul-crushing drudge of all time, and the lengths to which people will go to both preserve their happiness and then to risk it all in one shot.

But at the end, it's just about people and how we all, for the most part, do the best we can.

And it made me want to do the best I can. So beware of the impulse to make major life changes after reading. :)
