I really liked the first half of this novel. The writing is reminiscent of Danielle Steel so it was easy to follow. I enjoyed reading the pop culture references from each era. Learning about Post Foods growth to General Foods was interesting. But I realized near the end, (square dancing) that there isn’t any mention of People of Color. I’m sure in the length of Mrs. Post’s life she just had to meet someone of color? For the whole life of Majorie Post, who supposedly loves working she only “worked” when she wanted. It grew boring and redundant to hear how lavish Mrs. Post’s lifestyle was.
