I am so torn on this book, and a part of me thinks that this should have been a standalone!!
It relied on the bonds of the sisters, which if I was being honest were pretty non-existent.
Scarlett spent the entire book trying to ‘right’ the wrongs, in many ways losing her character.
Viví touches on the idea that she is outsider, since she was born with out a sliver spoon, and that is what allows the demon to use her, and it’s never explored more deeply.
To find out that Vivis family was the one that warned them, felt lazy and convenient.
Xavier’s character was the one I really enjoyed, and i annoyed with how it ended.
All in all, not the worst thing I read, that place in my heart is for one villain and his assistant, but I won’t be revisiting the world.
