i really enjoyed this book, it was very comforting to read and easy to get immersed in her writing. i loved the premise of the book and thought it was really unique and well written, so there weren’t any plot holes (at least that i can remember). a lot of it was guessable for me, however, that doesn’t mean i didn’t enjoy it. she wrote subtle hints before plot twists were revealed that made it easy to guess what was going to happen. i wish we had longer of a slow burn towards their romance as to me it felt brief. in addition, i wish we had a longer epilogue learning about their relationship in the future, meeting his family and about their careers as well as speaking more to Vera.
my only gripe is i hate how she ditched her full career, i think it made sense but also she could of been shown to be a successful artist or something like that.
I loved the way she describes food and emotion in this book and i think it was a very fun book to read. perfect for summer!
