Apples Never Fall
by Liane Moriarty
Another fantastic hit from Liane Moriarty!
It's always so nice to be able to sink your teeth into a good book! I loved this one as much as, if not more than, 'Nine Perfect Strangers.' The characters were interesting, dynamic, and had aspects that were likable and annoying. Stan and Joy are a fascinating couple, both individually and together.
I wish that we got to see a little more accountability for Stan's brutish behavior. And the shocking reveal(s) about Savannah were ultimately not necessary. The story was about a marriage that aged, not about the mental health of a random woman. And the pacing would have been better if about 10% of the book was trimmed out in just about every paragraph.
Still loved it on the whole!
