I bloody love this book!
Based in the 90s Mina travels to New Orleans where her sister has moved to after their Mum abandoned them both. Mina’s sister Libby works in a haunted Mansion based on horror films, including Child’s Play, Friday 13th, Nightmare on Elmstreet and Interview with the Vampire. It just happens that the very handsome man playing Lestat is Libby’s roommate, making him  Mina’s new roommate. When someone starts replicating New Orleans myth murders, Mina and her friends are drawn into the dark underworld they never quite new exsisted.
Amy McCaw does a fantastic job of keeping you on your whist drawing you into the 90s nostalgia, this book is for us fans of 90s Horror Movies, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The Vampire Diaries and The Orginials. This has very quickly become my favourite read of the year.
It was full of twists and turns, some of which I really didn’t see coming, vampire lore, horror films and a sisterly bond repairing itself along the way.
I cannot wait to read the second installment of this and hopefully many more to come!
