I love a good locked door, whodunit, so I was so excited to pick this one up. Unfortunately, it didn't fully work for me.
The main reason I picked this one up was because it sounded PERFECT for a quick winter read.. A winter storm is one of my favorite settings. But I found the atmosphere to be lackluster.
I also didn't find this thrilling enough. There was never a point where I was on the edge of my seat wondering what was gonna happen next. There were no action scenes either. I know this is more of a mystery than a thriller, but come on, give me something!
The characters were interesting, and a good job was done at making me suspicious of everyone. However I did end up guessing who the murderer was, although I didn't guess the reason. That's because it came completely out of left field and in my opinion, honestly didn't make much sense.
