Home Is Where You Are by Melissa Grace
4.0
“Love isn’t about choosing who you think won’t hurt you. It’s about choosing who’s worth hurting for.”
I really enjoyed this one! The alternating/dual perspectives was great; it’s always fun to see both sides of a couple narrate a story.
The subtle comedy throughout is a breath of fresh air; it’s relevant, sarcastic and punchy.
Also, I need to know if the pie diner exists, because I am all for it!
Ella is a fabulous supporting character, the obligatory supportive and feisty BFF that every good rom-com needs! And I absolutely adored the band manager, Antoni—what a delightful character! I want be friends with him so hard!
Holy nostalgia on the song selections too, Batman! (“To the bat mobile!”)
Overall this was a really cute read! I’m excited to read Home Again, the next book in the series coming July 27th!
