Totto-chan: The Little Girl at the Window by Tetsuko Kuroyanagi, Chihiro Iwasaki
4.0

I went into this book blind without knowledge of the author or setting. The stories were super endearing and told with the carefree perspective of this curious child. I loved how each story highlighted an important example of different choices educators could make given different situations and to really turn "adult" perspectives upside down. I wish I had learned earlier in the book when these stories were from as it's even more impressive knowing it was wildly against standards at the time. Highly recommend, especially for those who might be around children.
