The Final Girl Support Group by Grady Hendrix

3.0

Solid 3.5. The beginning was a little rocky and the term "final girl" felt a little silly given the context but if you push through the first 50 pages, it does get better. The narrator is pretty unreliable, she jumps to a lot of conclusions and questions herself constantly and to be honest I had a lot of doubt with her and her mental stability, which was the point. I feel like I should have guessed the killer given the context clues that were left behind, but I didn't which either means I was too busy staying in the moment of the story or that I wasn't paying as much attention as I thought I was. Either way, it was a good time. Towards the end, it felt like a genuine slasher movie and that was fun.
