I like that the book has basically a chapter and a picture on every page. Makes for easy reading for kids. But while it’s entertaining, the overall moral of the story seems to be that if you disobey your parents and teachers, you’ll have great fun, and the benefits will far outweigh any minor consequences you might get.
Minor: Child abuse, Murder
Has some beating of children mentioned. The kids witness a murder and they tell lies.
