The World for Sale: Money, Power and the Traders Who Barter the Earth's Resources by Jack Farchy, Javier Blas

4.0

Probably a one of a kind look into the history of commodities traders and how they've accumulated money, power, and importance in the modern economy. Hitting all the key players and often using their own words and interviews with their top traders and associates. It does a good job taking you through the history of these megaliths post-WW2 including the greasy and dramatic.

One thing I will say, if there's a negative, is that it *feels* very much like a modern book following a company/industry. It's a very good one of those but it still is one. I think anyone who has read an overview of a company/industry/business exec published in the last 5 years will know what I'm talking about. But, overall, highly recommend.
