Divergent
by Veronica Roth
I've had this book for forever and was lazy (and then I lost it) so I didn't really think about reading it until I realized there was a movie coming out soon.
Now I can say I am excited for the movie.
The first couple pages originally didn't pull me in, mostly because I am constantly distracted and actually have to find special reading time to get any reading done anymore. Once I started in, with the intentions of reading it all the way through, I was hooked.
Such a great story holy cow. I loved Tris. I love a main character who is strong but weak and full of self doubt. And Four/Tobais. yes.
This book is definitely on the Hunger Games level.
The ONLY thing I was not fond of in the book was the climax. The change in progression is so sudden that I got thrown off. One second the story is plodding along at a steady pace, the next second we're running full sprint ahead into the set up for the next book.
But otherwise what a read.
I suggest to anyone who loves a good Utopian gone Dystopian.
