Not The One by Amy Daws

This one is a hard one for me to review. Whilst its another Amy book, and was one that I sped through, I was not particularly a huge fan of the main characters. But with that being said, I don't really know if we're meant to like them at first.
Reyna, Hayden and Liam have all endured the same tragedy in the past, yet while Liam was a character I really liked, the other two were only just likeable for me by the end.
Reyna and Hayden are both very self destructive, and Amy highlights their struggles quite well. Reyna more so than Hayden, until we get to a certain point in the story, and we see his pain a lot more too. THAT point is the point where I knew - Hayden is going to kill me in his book (the next in the series, actually). Rey herself has a lot to work through, but her struggles show differently to Haydens and because this is her story we see this more clearly.
Liam was a poor innocent bystander in this one until the end, and the end of this book, the last parts are what really started to redeem Rey and Hayden in my eyes. But even so, I still don't know how I feel about them too much.
This is a much darker story than the previous London Lovers books, and certainly a lot darker than the Harris Brothers series, but it still fits well. Because the characters are all intertwined and know each others, these guys needed their story to be told. Any hey, these things happen in real life, and so its a glimpse into the other side - the side that not everyone experiences in their life. We all struggle, but some more so than others, and this really highlights that.
Whether or not I liked the characters, this was still a book that I was talking to my friends about as I read (they have read it in the past), and that I was so curious to learn how it would play out. It also set up the story really well for Hayden, and I'm very keen for him because I have heard so much. Not to mention thats where beautiful old Vi Harris comes into play.
Oh, and can Frank and Beans get his own book please???
