The hardest question I have yet to find an answer too - how much should the end of a book impact my rating/review?? Because the ending of Death definitely drew my feelings out. From the emotional relationship with Laz to the interactions between brothers to always fighting for your family, I was hooked at the end. But for 75% of the book, it followed the same path as books 1 and 2…some different aspects but just not enough for me to think it was unique. And to write a series about the four horseman…I just think there should have been a stronger message.

So overall Book 1 - not that great, extremely repetitive, Book 2 - so much better with the strongest message in my opinion, Book 3 - probably my favorite, looking back, mainly because the main characters were just so much more entertaining and different than any of the other books, throwing me for constant loops, and finally Book 4 - mostly reverting back to Books 1 & 2 with a heavy emotional ending that, logically aside, gave me exactly what my heart wanted.
