staghunters 's review for:
The Prince
by Niccolò Machiavelli
challenging
informative
slow-paced
Came to see what the fuss was about, left feeling I've read the original self-help book to success (for men!)
À la Rich Dad Poor Dad, Think and Grow Rich, How to Win Friends and Influence People, etc.
Machiavelli gives some decent examples (but nothing you couldn't come up with yourself with some logical thinking) and is very adamant that if you Follow My Rules, you'll be a good leader.
Some points for providing historical context, but that's the most positive I could get from it.
