The Barefoot Book of Earth Tales by Anne Wilson, Dawn Casey

3.0

A selection of stories from around the world, this is a charming collection of tales that describe humans' relationship with Earth. Some are creation myths, some stories about ecosystems or pollution, but they all describe the way our actions affect the world around us. I found it interesting to read about each country or culture's common stories, and then to see what crafts were associated with each story. This isn't a book I would seek out for myself, but I enjoyed it nonetheless, and the pictures were quite interesting.
Readers who are interested in the environment, who like short folktales or who like making crafts might enjoy this book. Some of the stories would be fun to read out loud and discuss, or do the crafts afterward as well.
Creation.
