I've also noticed this in her other book, the Stalker. The 'antagonists' don't seem to get the ending they deserve (which is proper punishment)
There were definitely things that were hard to believe, but the book is such a page turner and so bingeable that it's hard to complain too much. I was definitely getting paranoid during some of the scenes.
