Bird Box by Josh Malerman
4.0

This book begins with a great opening chapter, it hooks you into the story straight away. The chapters are really short for the most part and the writing / format was so easy to read so I had so much fun reading this book.

Bird Box alternates between the present day situations and the past (where everything began) the story is apocalyptic which I loved! I’ve been looking for a good (realistic) apocalyptic story and here it is! The whole book from start to finish is so freaking intense, I mean could you imagine having to keep your eyes closed (because that’s how the creatures get to you) but feeling/hearing/sensing something is near you... just thinking about parts of this story gives me the shivers.

I was so tense throughout all of this book that I actually felt my body relax when I finished! I would defiantly recommended this book if you don’t mind a bit of a scare! The characters were fab and I don’t think I can find a thing to complain about. It only gets a 4 star just because it doesn’t reach the standards of some of the others books I have read but it’s definitely worth the hype!
