The Slow Regard of Silent Things by Patrick Rothfuss
5.0

A lovely read, although not at all what you might expect as an offshoot from the Kingkiller Chronicles.
Focusing on the day-to-day life of Auri, this is a novel, and refreshingly sweet piece. There is a paradoxical innocent calm to the working of Auri's mind, even as she worries and fusses, and her sweet, pure nature is both soothing and frustrating in equal measures.

A very sweet interlude, but I, like many of Rothfuss' fans, spent my time enjoying this Novella but also wishing he'd get on with book #3 of the series.
