While this story is wild and the turns are tasty, I found the FMC a little hard to get behind. The constant struggle of hiding from who she is was becoming overdone by the end of the book. I will give grace in that the FMC is in their early 20s, so yes we all make poor decisions but it was the lack of learning from those decisions that drove me just a little wild. I did however find this story the perfect first book in a larger series, which it is, because it traps you in the events and keeps you curious about where the characters will go next. I hope in the next book in the series we see more of the relationship between our FMC and MMC. The glimpses of what we got, were clearly strategic in that they made you almost instantly yearn for more of their relationship to be revealed. Overall, I am looking forward to see where this series goes!
