whitaar 's review for:
Hannibal Rising
by Thomas Harris
This is the book that his third book should have been. He only writes a book every decade or so it seems, and it doesn't seem to come very naturally. You can imagine him struggling over every word. This time it paid off. My only complaint is all the references to foreign locations, as if his readership is all well traveled through Europe. That aside, the WWII setting and origin story was very compelling. Read best after his first couple of books (feel free to skip his third)
