I honestly have no thoughts on this (legit my review on GR is empty haha). I didn’t expect the writing to be …not so simple (read as: convoluted), but considering its first published in 1842 then most probably it’s because I’m just not used to the almost-archaic language. I’m so used to the more simpler storyline that reading this edition felt like it went on a bit longer than I expected.
