Heavy Crown
by Sophie Lark
5 ✨ (endless stars to be honest!!!)
Didn’t want this book to ever end!!! And I have no clue how to ever fathom what this story means to me and how to even start to explain it.
But it’s without a doubt my new favorite book EVER. Heavy Crown is just so much more than just a book to me, it’s something more and I feel like it’s forever gonna be a part of me. It made me feel like stolen Heir did back when I read that book and it was the most accelerating, emotional and profound book I have had the pleasure to enjoy.
Sebastian and Yelenas relationship left me especially speechless at so many times where I was either crying, swooning or literally both speechless and screaming at the same time (I know it sounds weird but I was internally screaming but also unable to comprehend words out loud). Towards the end my heart was definitely beating a lot faster than usually and breaking little by little for both Yelena and Sebastian. The plot twist in chapter 15 took me by surprise so much and I literally had to put down the book and stop myself from almost hyperventilating because of everything that happened. The thing is that when I read books I can imagine everything that happens in it like I was watching a movie, so that’s why it effected me even more than usual since I was picturing everything happening as a film in my mind. Very overwhelming but in the best way possible.
Also a pleasant surprise in this book was how many cameos Miko had. He and Nessa was my favorite BB couple thus far and now with Yelena and Sebastian taking some of that title too, it was the perfect book for me, my two couples and especially my two favorite husbands working together! This book was without a silver of doubt on the level with Stolen Heir for me and the two books share the title of the best book of the series for me. The last book in a series is always the most special one for me because it’s the one that ties in up a little nice bow for me and for the most of the times makes me feel the most. That’s certainly the case with Heavy Crown, it was very hard for me to put down and let go off. I certainly didn’t want this series to come to an end and now I’m yearning to start her Kingmakers series ASAP. Heavy Crown is definitely one of the biggest recommendations you’ll ever get from me, this book is undoubtedly a must read.
