To start of with the positives, I really like the storyline and following Silla, our fugitive fmc, building relationships with the mercenaries. BUT I really can’t deal with the parts I’ve been so cringed from, which was at least twelve times as I’ve bookmarked them. The nicknames fr? The times Skraeda literally “said aloud”?? Jonas being such

an ick

??? I have cringed so badly

with the spicy scenes between Jonas and Silla because he’s just really not likeable? I mean Silla also just instantly fell for his looks and muscles…I was just rooting for Rey the whole time because it actually felt like there’s a natural chemistry building between them.

I sincerely wish there’s less romance in the series, since it felt forced. There are other things that I would like to rant about; however, I will still continue the series since I do enjoy the non-romantic aspects of this Viking fantasy world and want to learn more about the magic system.
