Five stars to Jf Harding and Lidia Dornet they made this audio book shine with their performances, And J was the perfect Macon.
Can I just say a man that doesn't touch another woman after he loses the love of his life? Isn't done enough, this man waits four years and probably would have kept on being celebate living his life had Trent ( Lennon' s) father hadn't ended up in the ICU. If he never saw her again, he would have lived his life alone.

There was pining on both sides, And it was work that Macon had to do to win Lennon back.
There was work that Lennon had to do to get him to believe he wasn't abandoned.
Why ? Because of the horrible people who wanted to think they knew best .

Thereβs that word again. Love.

Thereβs so much damage between us. So many secrets and broken
promises. I should tell her we can wait. I should reassure her and prove to
her Iβm a better man now.
But in moments like this, Iβm not sure I am.
Iβm always going to be an addict, and sheβs always going to be my
greatest temptation. The only addiction worth ruining myself for.
We had to be apart before we could be stronger together.
Sheβs still my Lennon. Iβm still her Macon. Weβre at
our truest when weβre together.
This book was just the finest duet I have ever read. I cried, I laughed with the characters, and I hugged my pillow at the end , because the love that was written in these pages was beautifully broken, and deserving of a movie. I will never stop thinking about these characters.
