Hook, Line, and Sinker by Tessa Bailey

5.0

People told me that I'd get pretty emotional after reading this, but I didn't really believe them, but OMG THIS EPILOGUE. It was the most beautiful ending to one of the sweetest, fluffiest stories ever.

Fox and Hannah's characters develop so beautifully throughout the whole story. They're going from filling in roles that do not belong to them, to opening up, admitting their weaknesses and striving to make themselves better.

I loved how the author touched on the stereotype around men who wants them to be always the "players" and "f*** boys" the ones who no one takes them seriously. I love how Bailey not only showed how it affected the person but also how rotten and wrong the stereotype really is.
As for Hannah, I just loved watching her become her best self, the one who doesn't stay on the sidelines, always supporting someone else's story, but the one who thrives and lets her beautiful self shine through.

The whole novel was cute, fluffy, and beautifully written, with a nice dash of smut. I'd definitely recommend the duology to anyone who wants something sweet, cute, relaxing and steamy.
Side note: the first book is an enemies to lovers and the second one friends to lovers. Both are equally good and both are guaranteed to raise your standards and make you scream to your pillow.
