||This is what it means to grow up, Peter,” I said finally. “To recognize our mistakes and bear the weight of them. All we can do is try to be better.”||

Growing up, I loved Peter Pan, and this retelling is a wonderful twist. This story focuses on Wendy and her growth beyond the confines of 19th century womanhood-- and what an amazing protagonist she is! In this book she is a feminist icon.

This story delves into what it means to grow up as you're on the cusp of adulthood, not a child afraid of growing up. It's wild, brutal, and powerful.
