This is just - just perfect in encapsulating the desperation of high school. I could go on forever about the narrator, unreliable to a fault, but in the end, also very very endearing. There is something so crazy about being so obsessed with everyone else that you think you cannot possibly be thought of which is just so true to me. The narrator reminded me a lot of me, in that age, completely oblivious to how I was actually perceived, and how I perceived others, but daydreaming fantasies instead. 

I think if you were an anxious girl in high school this will immediately resonate. I think if you were popular without working for it - then maybe you won’t get it. Lol
