I'm not sure what to make of the Rainwild Chronicles. The books are still entertaining but I somehow never connected to the characters - even three books into the series. I'll finish this series to get back to Fitz and the Fool in the last trilogy. For the publication date and given how vague queer themes were in earlier books by Hobb I am pleasantly surprised by the amount of gay characters and the on-page portrayal of a gay relationship!
