Firstly, this cover is so misleading - it looks very women's fiction to me, and this book while has themes of strength and growth for Bea, is a romance. WITH SPICE. Which I was highly delighted by. However, the fun of the beginning of this book and the relationship for Bea and Cooper got hell frustrating hella fast when the relationship is a complete lack of communication/ definition of the relationship. It was very frustrating, and then the third-act breakup was just....not something I enjoyed.
Tropes: Reverse Age Gap ( FMC 35, MMC 25), Small Town Romance,
Brief Plot: Beatrice "Bea" is running away from her busy life in LA, and rented a room in Credence, Colorado. In this small town everyone knows everything about everyone, excuse Bea is reclusive. So a nosey neighbor calls Austin to check on Bea, and the two instantly find chemistry together, and Austin helps Bea break all the rules she has had engrained in her life. But will her old life manage to steal her away?
Thank you NetGalley and RB Medi for an eARC copy of Breaking All the Rules, by Amy Andrews, narrated by Mia Barron. This is my honest review!
