"You have consumed my thoughts since the moment I met you," he said to her. "I feel now, in your presence, entirely strange. I think I might fetch you the moon if only to spare your tears again."

A delightfully enjoyable fantasy with an exquisite slow burn, told from a dual PoV that works extremely well so far, especially when the main characters are together.

It reminded me of The Jasad Heir and The Bridge Kingdom (minus the FMC being a spy) and I loved it.

The writing style is descriptive but it enriched the fairytale-like story, rather than retract from it (as I often felt happened while reading Caraval, in which the style attempted to be similar).

Can't wait to see what's next. My only gripe is that some realisations happened a tad too quickly right at the end of the book.

I also hope we get to learn more about Hazan and his ties to all of it.
