The Last Eligible Billionaire by Pippa Grant
5.0
In The Last Eligible Billionaire, Hayes Rutherford, Razzle Dazzle heir, decides to thwart his relatives infernal matchmaking attempts by fake-dating the woman he unexpectedly discovers in his vacation home.
Pippa Grant sure knows how to tug on my heartstrings one moment and make me laugh out loud the next; I think this just may be one of my favorite books by her.
At a glance:
- Dual POV
- Billionaire romance
- Forced proximity
- Fake dating
- Grump-sunshine / opposites attract
Read it for
- The laugh-out-loud moments
- How Begonia teaches Hayes to seek out the small moments of joy
- How Hayes stands up for Begonia
- Marshmallow, the quirky dog, who went through service training but didn’t exactly graduate at the top of his class
- The side characters—especially Hayes’s cousin and his executive assistants
- And of course the 🔥 chemistry between Hayes and Begonia
I listened to the audiobook version. Virginia Rose captures plucky Begonia so well, and I could feel the emotion in her narration. I especially enjoyed how Teddy Hamilton portrays the humor in Hayes’s chapters. This is a fun one on audio, y’all. I highly recommend it.
I received a copy of the audiobook from the author. All review opinions are my own.
