Compared to Strange Houses I really feel as though Uketsu improved from the prior book. It was a bit confusing in the beginning with how the information was relevant to each other but the way that it tied together in the end made for a very fascinating ending. Definitely one that I would recommend but do mind the content warnings. This book gets quite intense in its depictions of violence.
