This book picks up where book 1 in the series left off, Spells Trouble. I recommend reading the first book in this series before reading this one. Otherwise, you will not understand what is going on. This book has a dark vibe to it, then the first book. It is told in dual POV's of the twins, Mercy and Hunter.  It is a fast-paced story that ends with a cliffhanger. The twins are just 16 and have to deal with adult problems, so you see their immaturity more in this book. My favorite parts were the added mythology. The Egyptian land of the Dead is a nice addition to this story also.
