Six Cats a Slayin'
by Miranda James
Number ten in the Cat in the Stacks series has Diesel and Charlie investigsting another murder. However, the murder doesn't happen until quite a ways into this book and since this is number ten in a series, you're probably going to read it anyway, no matter what it's about, so I'll skip the plot summary.
I was reading these from the library, but I'm not quite sure what's going on there with quarantine. But when I was able to get the newest in this series as an ARC, I bought the next two I needed. (There's one more, but I'm still waiting on it to go into paperback.). However, since the next one was a holiday story, I decided to hold off until closer to Christmas.
The story here was good. And I appreciated how neutral the author was on a certain subject. I feel like Charlie is getting fussier and fussier. Well, all the characters, actually. Everyone is SO over-the-top snooty about Gerry's Christmas decorations. Who cares if they're a bit much, it's Christmas! And they were all SO incredibly catty at the party, it was kind of hard to read. But I did love the ending with the kittens!
