I am so tempted to give this 5 stars but considering I did complain a bit earlier on about it dragging some, I’m going to give it 4.5 ⭐️
Agatha Christie….. your mind. The references not only to the time period this was written in but also to other famous tales made this book so interesting. I enjoyed the characters a lot and really appreciate how Agatha Christie ties her stories all together.
The second (I guess it was more like the fourth, technically) murder did surprise me, which I appreciated. I liked that it actually served a purpose to the story and wasn’t there as just a gotcha moment.
The murderer(s) themselves didn’t necessarily shock me although one of them made me very sad. Never trust a beautiful man, I suppose. HOWEVER, what DID surprise me was the reveal that Michael was ALSO Miranda’s FATHERRRRR!!!!! I was so gagged I can’t lie. Jaw dropped open, the gasp to gusp all gasps. What a good fucking ending.
