The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah

This was an exceptional book. Definitely the best book I read this year (Me before You was a close second). This was a wonderful story of revolution, resistance, redemption and love. So much strength of spirit as two sisters stand up to the horrors of war - each in a Different way and for different reasons. I loved the character development and didn't want this book to end. Tears streamed down my face, there were moments I gasped, and others I cheered. These women inspired me with their courage and survival, humility and integrity.
